Astrology and Unity
How is Astrology acceptable in Unity and non-duality?
Astrology can be understood as the study of how the original white light of existence appears when it is passed through the prism of perception. There is only one unified essence the radiant frequency of the Wholly Spiritual Universe often spoken of as the "Love of God." From that single living light, countless rays seem to branch out, each carrying a particular quality or tone. What we call zodiac signs, planets, houses, and aspects are symbolic ways of describing these rays and how they are filtered into your experience.
In truth there are no separate planets with independent powers deciding who you are. There is only the one light of the Wholly Spiritual Universe expressing itself in different frequencies. Consciousness then projects and perceives these frequencies as physical objects in space. The Sun becomes a symbol of the pure ray of identity and vitality. The Moon becomes a symbol of the nurturing ray of feeling and memory. Each celestial body is a mirror in the dream, reflecting a specific way that the one essence bends and plays through the lens of time, form, and personal story.
Because only the frequencies of the Wholly Spiritual Universe truly exist, what astrology is really describing is not rocks in the sky but living patterns of the one "Love of God" as it moves through the mind. The charts and symbols are maps of how that unified love appears when believed to be divided into parts. You are not ruled by Mars or Saturn. You are watching the one light refract through ideas of conflict, limits, desire, and growth. The chart simply shows where the prism is placed in your awareness and how the rays seem to scatter.
When you approach astrology in this way, it becomes a path back to unity instead of a system of fate. Every sign is a color of the same light. Every planet is a doorway back to the same presence. To study your chart is to study all the ways the one essence is trying to remind you of itself through your uniqueness. The more you see that all these so called celestial influences are really expressions of one unbroken field of love, the easier it becomes to relax your fear and let yourself be as you are.
Ultimately, astrology is not about worshiping the stars. It is about recognizing that every star, every planet, every symbol is a reflection of a single heart beating behind the universe. That heart is the "Love of God" and the Wholly Spiritual Universe as one. When you read a chart from this perspective, you are not just learning about your personality. You are remembering that every ray of your nature leads back to the same white light, and that you have never left that light for even an instant.

[A] A Natal Report
A natal chart is a map of the sky at the exact moment you were born, from the place you were born.
Astrologers take the date, time, and location of your birth and calculate where the Sun, Moon, planets, and key points were in the zodiac. That snapshot becomes your natal chart sometimes called your birth chart.
In simple terms
It shows your basic wiring
- Sun Your core self and life force
- Moon Your emotional nature and needs
- Rising sign Your outer style and way of meeting life
- Planets in signs and houses How and where different parts of you express themselves
It does not say you are “stuck” this way. Instead, it describes your natural tendencies, gifts, and challenges the pattern you chose to grow through. When you understand your natal chart, you can stop thinking “I am wrong for being this way” and start realizing “I was born with this nature, and I am allowed to learn how to live it more consciously.”
[B] A Progression Report
An astrological progression report describes how your inner life and personality slowly evolve over time. It is based on a symbolic method called secondary progressions, where each day after your birth represents one year of your life. For example, what the sky looked like ten days after you were born reflects your inner growth around age ten. This creates a chart that shows how your natal energies mature from the inside out.
Your natal chart shows how you are wired. A transit report shows the outer weather you are living through. A progression report shows how you are quietly changing on the inside. It can reveal shifts in emotional tone, changing needs in love and creativity, new ways of communicating, and deeper spiritual seasons. When you read a progression report, you often realize that you are not losing yourself, you are unfolding into a new version of the same soul. That understanding gives you permission to outgrow old roles, to stop forcing yourself to stay the same, and to trust that your changing feelings and desires are a natural part of your path.
[C] A Transit Report
An astrological transit report explains what the planets are doing right now and how that interacts with your birth chart
Think of it like this
- Your natal chart = your lifelong blueprint
- Your progressions = how you slowly grow and mature inside
- Your transits = the current cosmic “weather” you are walking through
A transit report looks at where the planets are today and which of your natal planets and points they are touching. It describes
- What themes are being stirred in your life right now
- When those phases begin and end
- Where things may feel pressured, blessed, slowed down, or shaken up
For example
- A Saturn transit might highlight responsibility, limits, commitment, or lessons
- A Jupiter transit might bring opportunities, growth, or expansion
- A Venus transit might emphasize love, money, connection, and pleasure
The gift of a transit report is perspective and compassion. It helps you see
You are not “failing” or “off track”
You are in a cycle.
Instead of thinking “What is wrong with me right now” you can realize “Oh, this is a temporary wave I am moving through”
That awareness lets you work with the energy gently during tough transits and boldly during supportive ones.
[D] A Solar-Return Report
A solar return report is based on the exact moment each year when the Sun returns to the same place it was at your birth. This usually happens on or very near your birthday. At that moment, astrologers cast a new chart. That chart is like a snapshot of the energetic tone for your personal year from one birthday to the next.
While your natal chart shows your lifelong wiring, your solar return chart shows the main themes, lessons, and opportunities for that specific year. The report usually explores
- Where the Sun is in the houses for the year. What area of life takes center stage.
- How the Moon is placed. The emotional focus and needs of the year.
- The positions of all the other planets. Where growth, challenge, love, work, change, or healing will be emphasized.
- Angles and aspects. How easy or intense those energies feel.
A solar return report can feel like getting the program for your upcoming season of life. It does not override your natal chart. Instead it temporarily highlights certain parts of it. Understanding your solar return can help you set aligned intentions for the year, make sense of the shifts you are feeling, and consciously participate in the story that is already unfolding.
[E] Relationship Report
A relationship report treats the connection between two people as its own living energy. It often uses both charts in two main ways.
Synastry – how your planets touch each other
The astrologer looks at how one person’s planets connect with the other’s. For example, one person’s Moon with the other’s Saturn, or one person’s Venus with the other’s Mars. This shows
- Where you feel emotionally safe or emotionally triggered together
- How you communicate when things are easy and when they are tense
- How attraction, affection, and conflict naturally play out
- Where power struggles or deep healing may appear
Composite or combined chart – the “chart of the relationship”
Many relationship reports also create a single chart made from the midpoints of both people’s planets. This chart is read as if the relationship itself were a third being. It can reveal
- The deeper purpose of the connection
- The shared strengths and shared wounds
- The overall emotional tone when you are together
- What you are learning through this bond over time
A relationship report usually feels very psychological and spiritual. It can explain why you keep repeating certain cycles together, why you feel so drawn to this person, and why some topics feel strangely sensitive. Its main gift is empathy. It helps both people see “Oh, this is how you are wired, and this is how I am wired” so there is less blame and more understanding of the living dynamic between you.
[F] Compatibility Report
A compatibility report focuses more on “how well do these energies fit together” in practical areas of life. It still compares both charts, yet the emphasis is often on ease and challenge in specific themes. For example
- Emotional compatibility – how your Moon signs get along, how you comfort and support each other
- Mental compatibility – how your Mercury signs think, talk, plan, and argue
- Romantic and sexual compatibility – how Venus and Mars connect, how affection and desire are expressed
- Lifestyle compatibility – house placements that show shared values around home, money, work, family, and freedom
This type of report tends to be organized by topics such as romance, friendship, communication, living together, long term potential. It often points out
- Areas of natural harmony where things flow easily without much effort
- Areas of friction where misunderstandings, different needs, or clashing styles are likely
- Practical advice on how to balance differences and support each other
A compatibility report does not decide whether a relationship is “meant to be.” Instead, it shows the pattern you are working with together. You might discover that passion is high but communication needs attention, or that emotional safety is strong while lifestyle priorities need negotiation. The real value is that it gives you a map. You see where your connection already supports you and where conscious effort can turn potential conflict into growth.
Both [E] & [F] types of reports can be very revealing and helpful. The relationship report helps you feel the soul of the bond. The compatibility report helps you understand how to live that bond in everyday life with more clarity, kindness, and choice.
Decoding Yourself
When you really get to know your astrology chart, it stops being a party trick and starts feeling like a permission slip. Your chart is a symbolic snapshot of the patterns, tendencies, and sensitivities you were born with. It shows how you naturally process emotion, how you love, how you think, how you move toward your purpose. Instead of feeling like you are randomly over emotional, too intense, too quiet, too analytical, or too dreamy, you begin to see that these qualities are part of your original design. You are not just acting that way. You arrived that way. That simple shift can soften years of self criticism and replace it with curiosity and compassion.
As you explore the chart, you begin to understand that your reactions and habits are not proof that something is wrong with you. They are expressions of energies you are learning to work with. Your Moon sign can explain why certain emotional needs feel non negotiable. Your rising sign can reveal why people see you in a particular way, even when you feel different inside. Your Venus and Mars can illuminate your style of love, desire, and motivation. Instead of trying to squeeze yourself into who you think you should be, you start asking how you can honor who you already are and grow from there.
This is where open willingness comes in. When you see your patterns on paper, it becomes easier to stop fighting them and start working with them. You can say to yourself, I was born with this sensitivity or intensity or ambition. I am allowed to feel it fully. I am also willing to refine it and express it in healthier, more conscious ways. The chart does not excuse hurtful behavior, yet it helps you understand the roots of it so you can transform it without shame. It moves you from self rejection to self responsibility.
On a deeper spiritual level, astrology can remind you that your uniqueness is one way the universe chose to express itself. The particular mix of signs and aspects in your chart is like a cosmic fingerprint. There is no other you. When you embrace that, you stop wasting so much energy pretending to be someone else and begin to relax into your own rhythm. You let yourself speak the way you speak, love the way you love, create the way you create, and heal in the way that matches your nature.
In this way, knowing your chart is an invitation to freedom. It says you are not here to copy anyone. You are here to live the pattern you were born with in the most conscious, loving, and awake way possible. The more you understand that pattern, the easier it becomes to open your arms to life and say yes to who you already are.
